A little about Kvekk.
Kvekk brings audiobook discovery, downloads and listening into one Android library. It is currently in early access.
The name
Kvekk [kvek:] · One syllable, roughly “kveck”.
Kvekk is a Norwegian sound-word, imitating a frog’s croak. It can also mean a brief utterance. A small, mysterious sound—perhaps from a frog, perhaps from a very wise wizard.
Source access & noncommercial use
The app source is private while the project develops. Keeping commercial licensing options open allows a possible paid edition later.
The public community repository supports feedback and standalone source plugins. Apply to contribute to the core app. Approved contributors may be invited to the private code; access and publication are not automatic.
Original app code uses the PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0 license. That allows permitted noncommercial use, modification and sharing, while commercial use requires separate permission. This is source-available licensing, rather than an open-source license. Third-party components keep their own licenses.
Library acknowledgments
